How to Wear Your Hair on Your Big Day

Headbands

These are great for versatility! They can be worn with your hair down and flowing or with an updo. You can also wear them lower on your head, or higher like a crown, or even sitting on top for a bohemian vibe.

Hair Combs

Hair combs are great for buns, or for half-up hairstyles. They come in many designs so your choices and possibilities are endless. They can vary from small to large and are great to pair with veils for some added sparkle.

Hair Pins

Pins are a great choice if you are deciding to go all out on your jewellery. Since they are positioned at the back of your head they become less prominent and don’t take away from your other breathtaking accessories. You can find sparkly pins, 4 for $20 at our boutique!

Veils

Not everyone is opting for one today, but you can’t go wrong with a traditional veil. There are a wide variety of options available. For example you can choose lengths such as fingertip or cathedral, embellishments, fabrics such as tulle or lace, panels, cut-outs, adding a blusher etc. Here at Revival we have plenty to choose from and can even custom order your veil.

Birdcage Veils

A birdcage veil gives your look a vintage feel while still being very modern. These are very in right now and can look great with the hair combs we mentioned above. Take into consideration that these sometimes only suit certain gown styles. Try on lots of different hair accessories and veils so you know what you love best!

Simple

If you don’t want to adorn your hair with anything, we suggest a pair of statement earrings or a great necklace to bring your look all together.

Extra Tips:

  • The longer and thicker your hair, the bigger you will want your accessory to be so that it will be more noticeable.
  • Take the colour (of metal, crystal or fabric) into consideration, it should complement your gown
  • Try your accessory on different parts of you hair, higher or lower for veils, on different sides/heights for clips etc.
  • If you opt for more than one hair accessory, or are planning on adding jewellery, make sure everything works together in harmony to make you extra beautiful on your big day. Don’t be too overpowering or too mismatched.
  • Call to make an appointment or pop in to check out all the latest items we have in store.
